PLEASE NOTE: This image is not mine and was not created by me. It was captured by NASA and STScl with the publicly funded Hubble Space Telescope. It is available for public use and does not violate any copyright laws (as stated here: HubbleSite ) I have Color enhanced, sharpened, and re sized this for public use as a wallpaper.

I have been completely obsessed with the universe for most of my life. The images that have come from the Hubble are some of the most beautiful scenes any of us will ever witness.

The fact that this actually exists, out there in space somewhere is absolutely amazing. Sorry all of you spacescape artists out there, but you could never compete with what nature has created.

I've been looking for high quality wallpapers of scenes like this for some time, to no avail. So I have decided to go ahead and do them myself to share with you.

Included wallpaper is 1920x1200

Enjoy!

You know, it really makes me think about how insignificant humans are. Our favorite works of art cannot compare with Nature. Why? Well, look in every painting you have ever seen: There has to be some reference to nature, be it a tree or a lake. Humans, as impatient as we are, cannot even sit down for a long enough time to put enough detail into our works to make them even resemble our sources. Yet, here is Nature's finest work of art: the nebula. Even a mere photograph of one is enough to overwhelm our minds and thoughts and put to shame any work of Picasso, Van Gogh, or Michaelangelo: imagine if you were within this nebula, witnessing it in three dimensions. I could sit here for hours and still not unravel the complexities and depth of this photo, therefore I cannot begin to fathom the infinite beauty that such a relic of the natural universe contains.

Neat-o. :) Looks good, and seems like it would make a mighty fancy wallpaper. I too am quite amazed at how unbelievably large the universe is, and what all is out there. It's like the biggest, most exciting mystery of all time. B-)
